💙Our Commitment to Your Child's Privacy
Tutur ("tutur.ai") is designed with children's privacy as our top priority. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), GDPR, and Apple App Store Kids Category requirements.
📋What We Collect
Parent account: Email address and password (encrypted).
Child profile: First name, age, and grade level only.
Session data: Start/end times, topics covered, and text summaries of tutoring interactions.
What We Do NOT Collect or Store
No images or video — Camera frames are processed entirely on your child's iPad and immediately discarded.
No audio recordings — Voice input is converted to text on-device and the audio is never sent to our servers.
No biometric data — We do not use facial recognition, emotion detection from faces, or voiceprints.
No location data — We do not access or store your location.
No advertising identifiers — We have zero ads and zero tracking.
How AI Processing Works
When your child asks a question, only the extracted text from their worksheet (not images) and their question are sent to our AI service (Google Gemini) to generate a tutoring response. This text is not stored by the AI service after processing.
👨👩👧Parental Consent
All accounts require a parent to create. Parents provide explicit consent for camera, microphone, and AI processing before their child can use any of these features. Consent can be revoked at any time from the parent dashboard.
🗑️Data Deletion
Parents can delete all child data at any time from Settings > Delete All Child Data. This permanently removes all children profiles, session history, messages, and consent records.
